Bedec Stain Block is a unique product incorporating traditional and new technology to produce a water based product that
will hold back most normal stains, helping to prevent bleed through that can cause unsightly staining on new paintwork.
Formulated to block stains from a multitude of substrates, such as timber, render, brickwork, concrete and plaster.
Satin translucent finish.
Ensure the surfaces to be painted are clean dry and free from dust, dirt grease and wax.
Remove all loose and defective paint.
Algal, fungal or mould growths should be removed and treated with a fungicidal wash.
Smooth glossy surfaces should be lightly abraded to provide a key.
Apply by brush, roller, conventional H.V.L.P or airless spray. Stir well and check colour before use.
Do not apply at air or surface temperatures below 8°C or when likely to rain before the paint has fully dried.
Check for staining after the first coat.
A second coat maybe required for complete blocking.
Approximately 12-14 sq metres/litre per coat when applied by brush or roller depending on the texture and porosity of the substrate
Drying time: Dependant on the conditions. Dry in 2-4 hours, normally re-coatable after four hours at 18°C and 65% relative humidity.
Fully hardened after one month.
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
Clean up immediately after use with warm soapy water.
Remove as much product as possible prior to cleaning.
Substrates which have had water-repellent preservative treatments applied should be avoided because adhesion could be compromised.
