About Tikkurila Akvilac FD25 Water-Borne Lacquer

Low-odour, acrylate lacquer for use on interior wooden surfaces and woodwork. 

Semi-matt finish.

A very fast drying all-round lacquer for interior use. 

The lacquer film is transparent and can also be used on the top of dark stain colours.

Excellent blocking and chemical resistance.          

Suitable for furniture, panels, doors and other wooden surfaces.                        

Especially suitable for fast production lines.

Spray application.

Akvilac can be tinted to a range of semi-translucent shades.

Preparation and Application

For best results ensure that the surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease, dirt, oil, wax, loose material and surface contamination.

During application and drying the temperature of the air, the surface to be treated and the lacquer has to be over +18ºC and the relative humidity of the air below 70%.

Preparation

Wood surfaces should be sanded with sandpaper P150–240. 

Primer surfaces should be sanded and all sanding dust must be removed before lacquering.                        

Use Tikkurila cleaning products for best results.

Ensure to use a good quality wood filler for filling cracks, nail holes, blemishes, etc.

Thinning

If necessary by up to 5% with water.
