About Nobel High Gloss A/C Enamel

Special high gloss, high build, acid catalysed enamel for furniture and shop fittings which provides a long lasting, tough and durable finish. Available in an infinite range of colours which includes BS4800, RAL, Retail, DIY,NCS, Monicolor Nova, and most Pantone colours.

Catalyst: 7QC 084 / ratio: 10 parts TX200 to 1 part Catalyst Spray or curtain coater

Question: Hi, can the tx200 be sprayed without an airfed mask, I can’t see the safety sheet.
Answer: 

With any spray applied product we always recommend wearing a mask to protect the sprayer from the fine spray particulates.

As with most Acid Catalyzed Enamels available today, Akzo Nobel TX enamels contain formaldehyde. This chemical is classed as carcinogenic and therefore hazardous to health.

Prolonged spraying of this product would provide a potential health risk and as such an air fed mask would be very advisable.

To avoid this health risk, Akzo Nobel have launched an Acid Catalyzed Enamel that is Formaldehyde Free and as such does not require the sprayer to wear an air fed mask, (a good quality cartridge mask will suffice.)

The performance of the Formaldehyde Free enamel is very good and has been tested and approved by FIRA for Severe Contract use.
