About Tikkurila Valtti Puuöljy Exterior Wood Oil

Valtti Puuöljy Wood oil protects and renews your garden furniture and other wooden structures such as terraces, steps and jetties. It protects wood against moisture and dirt, and helps reduce surface cracking and discolouration.

Surface Preparation

Wash down the old, darkened wooden surface with Tikkurila Homeenpoisto (Mould Removal) or Tehopesu (Power Cleaner) solution as instructed on the label, and allow to dry. Sand down any wooden fibres sticking up from the surface and carefully remove all dust and residue.Stir the wood oil thoroughly before use and from time to time during application. When applying translucent finishes, the natural wood colour will always influence the final shade. Always apply to a test area first.

Application and Thinning

Do not thin. Brush or sponge application.  For best results with semi-transparent exterior wood products such as exterior wood stains or wood oils, we always recommend choosing a tinted semi-transparent colour. A tinted product will offer far better UV protection for your timber and we do not recommend applying a clear product.
