About Rust-Oleum Metal Cladding Topcoat
Rust-Oleum Metal Cladding Topcoat is a waterborne, satin finish, decorative topcoat for use on metal objects and cladding.
It can be applied in one or two coats to almost any cladding system.
Finish on metal cladding or any metal suitably primed metal surface.
Substrates include most synthetic materials such as powder coatings, polycarbonates and hard PVC as well as a range of metallic substrates including galvanizing, aluminium, copper, zinc and lead.

Surface Preparation
Metal Cladding Topcoat can be applied directly on substrates primed with Metal Cladding Primer, NOXYDE or PEGANOX Metal Cladding Primer and Topcoat can also be applied on old sound paintwork.
Remove organic growth with AMW mould removal solution and degrease with ND14 cleaner degreaser and allow to dry thoroughly.
Abrade to create a key.
Application and Thinning
Brush: 2 coats, preferably undiluted.
Roller, 2 coats, preferably undiluted. Use a short pile roller.
Air-atomised spray: not recommended.
Airless spray: Nozzle: 013 – 015 / Pressure: 160 bar. 1 coat is sufficient in most cases (unless there is a big change in colour to previously painted surface).
If necessary dilutewith water.
Check WFT and avoid over thicknesses, especially for dark colors.
Too high film thickness can result in blistering
Do not apply in full sun or hot conditions, to avoid a decreased flow.
The product can remain a little sticky if it is used on new Plastisol cladding.
