About Rust-Oleum Fassilux Aqua XPE
RustOleum Fassilux Aqua XPE is tough finish paint for interior woodwork.
Its hard-wearing and durable finish makes it perfect for painting kitchen cabinetry, radiators, doors, trims and furniture.
Fassilux Aqua has three finishes, Matt, Satin, Gloss and all are available in any colour including BS, RAL, NSC and Decorative Paint Colour Collections.
Satin and Gloss finishes can also be used for exterior woodwork too.
Based on a polyurethane/alkyd emulsion is as easy to use as traditional oil based furniture paints but with all the benefits and advantages of a water based formula.
It is easy and fast to apply with its excellent flow properties and coverage rates to ensure an even and professional finish for every project.

Preparation and Application.
For optimum results, surfaces must be clean, dry, and free from grease, dirt, oil, wax, rust, loose material and surface contamination. Treat knots and resinous areas with RustOleum Pegaprim Isofix
Use a good quality filler such a Prestonett flexible filler for filling cracks, nail holes, blemishes and for levelling uneven surfaces.
Ensure that existing painted and filled surfaces are thoroughly sanded smooth.
Note: Discoloration of paint, especially noticeable within light colours, may occur over knots and resinous areas present in the wood.
Particular attention with regards to preparation should be given to wood such as oak, teak, cedar, douglas fir, mahogany and idigbo which contain oil and water-soluble tannin which may impair the drying, hardening or adhesion of surface coatings and discolour the finished surface.
Prime bare interior wood overall and, if necessary, spot prime all bare areas on previously painted surfaces with RustOleum Pegalink Primer or RustOleum Pegaprim Isofix. Pegaprim Isofix is preferable on wood that contains substances which may ‘bleed through’ and cause staining to the finished surface.
Application and Thinning
Apply by brush, roller or spray.
Polyester and nylon paint brushes are best suited for the application of Fassilux Aqua XPE.
For airless spray use a 0.013” – 0.015” spray tip.
Thinning: if necessary thin by up to 5% with water.
Drying times
Touch Dry: 3 Hours
Recoat: 24 Hours
Full Hardness: 1 Week
