Decorators Varnish clear water-based coating is the go-to choice for professional and amateur decorators looking for a superior, long-lasting finish.

It’s perfect for use on emulsion paint, wallpaper and other surfaces, and gives long-term protection against finger marks, stains, scuffing and colour fading. Suitable for both interior and exterior use.

This unique, clear acrylic varnish uses nanotechnology to protect a wide range of decorative surfaces such as paintwork, wallpaper, fabric, wood and plasterwork. Its high UV blocking and absorption properties reduce ageing and deterioration.

Available in Gloss, Satin or Dead Flat.

About Polyvine Decorators Varnish

Preparation

All surfaces must be clean and free from dust, dirt, oil and contamination.

Application

Thinly apply 2 to 3 coats with a synthetic varnish brush. On porous surfaces dilute the first coat with 10% water. For a dead flat finish with high durability and stain resistance, apply 2 coats of satin followed by 1 of dead flat. Instructions in the technical data sheet must be followed.

Caution

Always test over dark colours and porous emulsion paint. Existing contaminants can be drawn through the paint film. Appearance may vary according to the colour and type of wood and the number of coats. Do not continuously submerge in water. Test for compatibility before application. Not suitable for exterior bare timber or vinyl wall covering.

Storage

Protect from extremes of temperature during storage and application.

Health, safety and the environment

Non-hazardous. Ensure good ventilation. Keep out of reach of children. Contact with eyes - wash immediately with warm water. Remove excess from tools and mixing vessels before washing in warm soapy water. Do not empty excess into drains or watercourses.
