About Sikkens Rubbol WP105 Stain Blocking Primer

The Sikkens Rubbol WP105 is a highly effective high build stain blocking primer.

It is water-borne, vapour permeable and has excellent stain inhibiting properties on most hardwoods.

Specially formulated for application by brush it is also a first class basecoat for most decorative finishes.

It can be used over most fully dried preservative treated timber.

With excellent adhesion properties, Sikkens Rubbol WP105 is an exceptional primer and midcoat for use with the Sikkens brush applied opaque top coats, such as the WF3310.

To enhance the colour of your topcoat this primer comes in white or tinted to mid or pastel shades. 

Application

Drying times at 23°C / 50% RH.

Dust dry approx. 30 minutes  

Sandable approx. 4 hours  

Recoatable approx. 4 - 6 hours 

The drying process of the coating depends on the applied film thickness and may be delayed when using timber with a high extractive contents or drying in damp/cold conditions. During the drying process, always ensure for adequate temperature and ventilation. If the drying conditions are not met, damages within the coating cannot be excluded.

Cleaning & Thinning

Thin with a maximum 5% Water. 

Clean equipment immediately after use with lukewarm water. Rinse with clean fresh water to remove all traces of contamination.
