Tikkurila Optiva Colour - Contract Matt Emulsion
Tikkurila Optiva Colour Contract Matt Emulsion is a virtually solvent free emulsion that resists cleaning and dries to a superfine matt finish with a slight sheen.
Formulated to provide increased resistance to stains and dirt compared to traditional vinyl matt emulsions.

About Tikkurila Optiva Colour, Contract Matt Emulsion
Tikkurila Optiva Colour is a high solids, high opacity vinyl matt emulsion, formulated to provide increased resistance to stains and dirt compared to traditional vinyl matt emulsions.
It has excellent coverage rates and is ideal for residential, (especially recommended for living rooms, bedrooms and children's rooms), commercial and public spaces, educational and healthcare facilities.
It provides a beautiful matt, uniform finish and is available in any colour.
- Very good opacity.
- Increased resistance of the coating to stains and dirt.
- Good resistance to washing and wet scrubbing (Class 2 according to the latest PN-EN 13300: 2002P, PN-EN ISO 11998: 2007P.)
- Colours stay bright and do not fade.
Application Conditions;
All painted surfaces must be dry, air temperature from +5 ° C to +25 ° C, and relative air humidity below 80%.
Preparation;
Fresh mineral plasters can be painted after a minimum of 4 weeks of drying.
Unpainted surfaces covered with filler, plaster, concrete and chipboard, felt and gypsum boards;
Clean the surface of dust, dirt and loose materials.
Repair and surface defects with a good quality interior filler.
Prime with Tikkurila Universal Primer or Optiva colour thinned up to 30%
Surfaces painted with dispersion, alkyd and oil paints;
Before painting the surface should be thoroughly washed and degreased.
Lightly abrade glossy surfaces with medium-grain abrasive paper.
Rinse thoroughly with water, dry.
Surfaces painted with lime paints;
Clean the surface of dust, dirt and loose materials.
Repair and surface defects with a good quality interior filler formulated for lime plaster repairs.
Prime with Tikkurila Universal Primer.
Thinning;
Thinning If necessary, up to 5% with water.
Application;
Tikkurila Optiva Colour can be applied by brush, roller or by spray.
Coverage Rates;
Rough surfaces 8m2 / litre
Smooth surfaces 12m2 / litre
The actual coverage rate will depend upon the absorbency and texture of the surface, application method and the colour.
Drying times at 23°C and 50% relative humidity;
Touch dry 1 hours.
Recoat time; minimum 4 hours.
If painting at a lower temperature or in conditions of increased humidity, the drying time will be longer.
Cleaning Tools;
Tools should be cleaned with water immediately after finishing .
