Suitable for both Interior and Exterior use.

Polyvine Metallic Paint is ideal to use on interior walls and plasterwork, picture frames and mirror surrounds, furniture and pottery.

Externally, gates, railings and door furniture, statues, ornaments and sculptures are all suitable.

Retains metallic lustre for years and does not discolour outside.

Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are sound, clean, dry and free from rust and contamination.

Lightly abrade previously painted surfaces before application to provide a key.

Using a similar base coat colour will greatly increase the metallic covering power.

Application

Ensure the product is thoroughly mixed.

Do not shake.

Try a small test area first.

On bare wood lightly sand the first coat to remove grain raising.

Apply 2-3 coats as required with a good quality brush.

Take care to eliminate brush/rollermarks by overbrushing. Brush marks will be highlighted by the metallic sheen.

Stippling the wet surface with a stippling brush will produce a hammered finish.

Spray application will ensure a smooth metallic surface.

On porous surfaces dilute the first coat with 10% water.

On bare wood lightly sand the first coat to remove grain raising.

Caution

Light reflection will accentuate brush/roller marks and imperfections in the background.

The covering ability of this paint will vary with the colour.

It is essential to do a test area before application.

High temperatures or direct sunlight will affect working time.

Do not apply when rain is imminent.

Storage

Protect from extremes of temperature during storage and application.

Health, safety and the environment

Non-hazardous. Ensure good ventilation. Keep out of reach of children.

Contact with eyes - wash immediately with warm water. Remove excess from tools and mixing vessels before washing in warm soapy water.

Do not empty into drains or watercourses.
