About Danish Oil

A blend of oils including Tung Oil which provide an attractive lustre finish to all woods. Ideal for Scandinavian furniture, doors, panelling, wood turning etc, also an excellent treatment for wooden kitchen worktops and oak timbers due to its low toxicity and water repellency.

For internal and external use (regular maintenance is required).

Surface Preparation

Sand the surface with 180 or 220 grit sandpaper and remove any sawdust.

Application and Thinning

Do not thin. Apply liberally to the surface using a natural bristle brush to penetrate into the wood. Let the Danish Oil sit on the surface for 20-30 minutes to fully penetrate the wood. After 30 minutes, take a clean, dry, lint-free cloth and wipe the Danish Oil off the wood. Apply a second coat and leave for 15 – 20 minutes or until it starts to become tacky. Wipe all oil off of the surface using a dry, lint free cloth and continue to remove any excess oil seeping from the timber over the next few hours then allow to dry.
