Rust-Oleum Heat Resistant Paint, Hard Hat 1015/1078, heat resistant coating to withstand temperatures up to 750˚C.  For use on bare, or slightly rusted surfaces on interior or sheltered exterior environments.  Suitable for coating engines, heat cannons, steam pipes, boilers, vents, barbeque's and stoves. 

Ready mixed Black Satin-Matt or Aluminium.  2.5 Litre, 750ml, and Aerosols available.

About Rust-Oleum Hard Hat Heat-Resistant Paint 750˚C

Rust-Oleum Mathys Heat Resistant Paint: Hard Hat 1015/1078 Heat resisting Coatings 1015 and 1078 are based on a silicone modified alkyd resin.

This heat resistant paint is designed for continuous temperatures up to 650°C and will withstand peak temperatures up to 750˚C. 

The 1015/1078 is suitable for use on new, bright, or shot-blasted steel or well pre-treated previously coated surfaces.

Can also be applied to slightly rusted surfaces.

Suitable for interior or sheltered exterior environments.

Suitable application include:

  • barbecues,
  • boiler fittings,
  • stoves,
  • engines,
  • hot air cannons,
  • exhausts, etc.

Intended for small maintenance jobs or repairs.

Available in ready mixed black in a satin-matt finish or Aluminium. (1015: Aluminium / 1078: Black)

Surface Preparation

Remove grease, oil, dirt, loose rust, loose coatings and any other contamination by using ND14 Cleaner Degreaser.

Sand intact old paintwork in order to roughen the surface slightly.

The surface must be clean and dry during application.

Application and Thinning

Brush: No thinningRoller: No thinning. Use shorthaired polyamide (perlon 8 - 12 mm) rollers.
