About Rust-Oleum Damp-Proof Primer 769
Rust-Oleum Damp-Proof Primer 769 is based on a special fish oil containing alkyd resin and rust inhibiting pigments.
It has been specially developed to be applied on hand tool prepared sound rusted steel surfaces in light industrial exposure conditions.

Surface Preparation
Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations with ND14 Cleaner Degreaser or high pressure (steam) cleaning.
Remove rust scale, loose mill scale, loose rust and loose coatings by scraping and wire brushing, light blast cleaning or sanding.
Sand previous coatings, which are in good condition to roughen the surface slightly.
The surface must be clean and preferably dry during application.
Application and Thinning
Brush: Up to 10 vol. %; Thinner 633. Use natural bristles, long hair brushes.
Roller: Up to 10 vol. %; Thinner 633. Use medium pile, polyamide (perlon 8 -12 mm) rollers. Roller application may require 2 coats to achieve recommended dry film thickness.
Air-atomised spray: 10-20 vol.%; Thinner 641. Gravity cup and pressure cup. Tip size: 1.2 -1.8 mm. Atomising pressure: 2 - 4 bar.
Airless spray: If required, up to 5 vol. % Thinner 641. Pneumatic and electric airless equipment. Tip size: 0.013-0.015 inch Fluid pressure: 130 - 200 bar.
Cleanup: Use Thinner 160 or mineral spirits.
