  • Water, Stain, abrasion and heat resistant
  • Ultra hard
  • Does not blister or peel
  • Food and child safe

Remove all traces of old finishes, dirt, oil, wax and grease. These may have impregnated the surface and can cause failure. Sand in direction of the grain to provide a key. Thoroughly clean after sanding. Instructions in the technical data sheet must be followed. Ensure the product is well mixed but do not shake.

Apply 2 to 3 coats of varnish, with a good quality brush. On new softwood and porous surfaces dilute the first coat 10% with water. Lightly sand wood in between applications to remove any raising of the grain.
For a dead flat finish with high durability and stain resistance, apply two coats of satin followed by one of dead flat.

questions Lucy
Question: Can this be used on paving slabs/patios that have been painted please?

Yes, Polyvine Heavy Duty Extreme varnish would be suitable for painted stone slabs. We would recommend a light sand of the surface to create a key then apply two coats of the varnish.

Once applied the varnish will take approximately 16 hours to cure and reach full hardness.
