About Sikkens Cetol WP 511 High Performance Base Stain

Sikkens Cetol WP 511 replaces Cetol WP 510 high performance base stain and represents the very best in high quality, translucent, water-borne and moisture vapour permeable coatings.

It provides the perfect platform for Sikkens Semi-transparent finishes, Cetol WF 905, WF 910 and WF 915

Colours are available from the Standard Sikkens semi-transparent and Joinery Color Classics Collection.

Please note - medium to highly pigmented translucent colours are more weather-resistant than low pigmented colours.

Colourless coatings are not suitable for outdoor use.

On timber rich in extractives, e.g., oak, larch or tropical wood, discolouration  may occur – partially only as a result of weathering. Please call for advice on these timbers.

Apply by brush

Please see our How to Guidance   Note for more advice on preparation and application for painting exterior woodwork.
