About Sikkens Rubbol WP 198 Stain Blocking Primer

Rubbol Primer WP 198 has excellent adhesion properties and is used  as the primer and midcoat for Sikkens Opaque top coats, WF3311.

It is water-borne, vapour permeable and has excellent stain inhibiting properties on most hardwoods.

Specially formulated for application by spray it is also a first class basecoat for most decorative finishes.

It can be used over most fully dried preservative treated timber  

Application Method

Air Assisted Airless,  Fluid Pressure 80/100 bar, Air Pressure Max. 2 bar - Tip size 0.28mm/0.011”

Cleaning Equipment

Clean equipment immediately after use with clean cold water followed by a solution of Sikkens ST830 and fresh lukewarm water.

Rinse with clean fresh water to remove all traces of contamination.  

We would recommend that all windows, doors, etc. should receive at least one coat of primer and one midcoat in the joinery factory prior to arrival on site.
