About Tikkurila Tunto Fine Textured Finish
Tikkurila Tunto Fine is a fine textured coating that can create the effect of a finely plastered texture on interior walls.
The three-dimensional effect of a Tunto surface is created during application, creating shapes with a steel trowel, rubber spatula, notched trowel, brush, or broom.
By combining application methods and colours, the possibilities of a Tunto surface are endless.

Application Conditions
The surface to be treated must be dry, and the temperature of the air, surface and coating must be at least 5˚C and the relative humidity of the air below 80 %.
Preparation Unpainted surfaces:
Clean unpainted surfaces from dirt and dust. If necessary, smooth the surfaces with a suitable flexible wall filler.
Prime with Luja Universal Primer.
Apply 1-2 coats of a Tikkurila Wall paint in the tunto colour to form the basecoat.
Previously painted surfaces:
Wash down previously painted surfaces with Maalipesu cleaning agent and rinse carefully with water.
If necessary, smooth the surfaces with a suitable wall filler.
Use sandpaper to sand painted glossy surfaces until they are matt and remove dust.
Application:
Stir TUNTO Fine Textured Finish well before use. Use a roller to apply the product.
The surface can be patterned e.g. with a wide brush, wallpaper knife, firm brush or patterning roller.
Spread the coating in a thick layer on interior walls approximately 1m2 at a time and make the final patterning on the surface immediately.
Avoid too thick a layer as it may cause the dry surface to crack.
Cleaning:
Clean tools with water or Tikkurila Pensselipesu (Tool Cleaner).
Maintenance instructions:
Clean surfaces by dry cleaning with a vacuum cleaner, soft brush or dust towel.
Handle the surfaces with care after the finishing treatment, as the product achieves the final hardness and durability after approx. one month in normal
conditions.
