About Rust-Oleum Hygienic Primer 8399

White Mould Resistant Masonry Sealer 8399 is a fast-drying, non-yellowing sealer for use on mineral substrates like concrete, brick and plastered walls, masonry and mineral fibreboard.

It is formulated to be over coated with hygienic topcoats and resists occasional product spillage, frequent chemical cleaning, intermittent high humidity and moisture.

Surface Preparation

New concrete, plastered or brick surfaces should cure and dry for at least 30 days prior to the application of coatings.

Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations using ND14 Cleaner Degreaser or high pressure (steam) cleaning.

Wash total surface with plenty of fresh/warm water or high pressure (steam) cleaning in order to remove all remnants of contamination and cleaners.

Sand previous coatings, which are in good condition to remove gloss and to roughen the surface slightly to create a ‘key’.

Remove loose old coatings.

The surface must be clean and dry during application.
