About Rust-Oleum Solvent Free Epoxy 5500
Rust-Oleum solvent-free, High-Build Epoxy System 5500 is formulated for application on concrete, masonry and also blasted steel.
It is ideal for areas that will be in contact with chemicals, undergo frequent chemical cleaning or those exhibiting high humidity and moisture.

Surface Preparation
Remove grease, oil and all other surface contaminations with ND14 Cleaner Degreaser or high pressure (steam) cleaning.
Sand intact coatings to roughen the surface and create a ‘key’.
The surface must be clean and dry during application. New concrete or masonry should dry and cure for at least 30 days before applying the coating system.
Remove laitance, loose and unsound concrete or deteriorated coatings preferably by abrasive blasting and repair surface defects with Concrete Repair Mortar.
Very dense and smooth concrete should be abrasive blasted or primed with Super Adhesion 3333.
Steel: Remove loose rust, rust scale and deteriorated coatings by abrasive blasting
Application and Thinning
Brush: Thinning not recommended. Use natural long bristle brushes.
Roller: Thinning not recommended. Use medium pile, perlon or polyester rollers. For textured surfaces use a long pile roller.
